First what is Hypermobility: its defined as having more than typical range of motion in a joint.

With hypermobility you either have it or you dont.

Hello and welcome to this week's edition of what is ____ Wednesday. Today we will dive into what is the Autonomic Nervous System.

The autonomic nervous system is an automatic control network in your body that manages unconscious, involuntary internal functions like heart rate, digestion, and blood pressure.

There are 3 main divisions:

Sympathetic Nervous System: Triggers the "fight or flight" response during stress or danger, speeding up your heart and releasing stored energy.

Parasympathetic Nervous System: Manages the "rest and digest" state, slowing down your heart rate and helping your body relax and repair

Enteric Nervous System: Controls your digestive tract independently.

The ANS controls:
Heart rate and blood pressure
Respiration (breathing rate)
Digestion and waste elimination
Sweating and body temperature regulation
Pupil dilation
