I am Melissa Vanden Heuvel, the founder of Blissfully Authentic. I am a certified holistic health and master intuitive coach. I received holistic health coach training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I learned more than one hundred dietary theories and a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Integrative Nutrition combines the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index, the Zone and raw foods. I am also fortunate enough to learn from leading doctors and speakers in the fields of integrative medicine, nutrition, and fitness. Dr Andrew Weil, Dr. Mark Hyman, Geneen Roth, and Deepak Chopra, are just a few of the amazing speakers we have at Integrative Nutrition. I am able to help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals. I am dedicated to helping individuals, families or groups transform their health by adopting a healthier lifestyle, achieving and maintaining their desired weight, and safely detoxifying their home and body. Furthermore I aim to share what I have learned, my mistakes and my victories, so others can take what they need from my experience. I have personally tried many diets, including Weight Watchers, Atkins, 100% Raw Vegan, Vegan and Vegetarian diets. What I have learned is that everyone’s constitution is unique to them and that we need to learn to listen to our inner wisdom to help determine what is best for our body.
