Waterless Beauty Inside and Out

Colour matching my lips and cheeks to the flowers in my top is fast and easy. I used Midnight Rose, the darker pink colour, first. Then I layered on Strawberry Hill for the peachy lighter tone. And done! All I needed to finish my makeup was HT Mascara!

True Story!!!

I went to my for a regular dental check up appointment and my dentist asked me what I was doing??? He complimented me on my complexion and said whatever I was doing "looked good. I looked fresh!" I was surprised!

It was a Saturday afternoon and I wasn't wearing any makeup!!! So I explained what I was doing, using the right skin care and makeup and that it makes a huge
difference!

Monday to Friday, I usually wear makeup because it makes me feel polished and professional. On weekends I wear makeup if I feel like it. Lots of times, I just don't!

I have rosacea around my nose, sun spots near my eyes and the scar at my mouth was noticeable.

People ask what made you switch? So let me answer by telling you about my love of colour and how it expresses itself in my life.

Did you know that my parents were avid artists? My mother painted with oils and my Dad with water colours and they created beautiful works with a variety of subjects. I am not artistic in the way they were. My artistic streak shows in my love of colour in my clothes. You'll rarely see me in black or neutrals. My makeup is another way I enjoy being creative.

As a young mom, home full time with my 3 children, I got a part time job at a local mall in a major department store called The Bay. It was there that I met my Bestie, who became the Counter Manager of a internationally known cosmetic line. I fell in love with the look and feel of good quality makeup and skin care. However the one detraction was the line did use a lot of chemicals and preservatives.

After many years, the chain was sold and our store closed. All the employees moved on. Then my Bestie found another makeup line and persuaded me to try it. It was a MLM company with a line that was natural based but still used some chemical preservatives. After 6 months I joined.

In my 10 years with that company, I dedicated a lot time to learning as much as possible about colour matching, makeup application techniques and skin care best practices from attending conferences, watching makeup tutorials and practising with my makeup and using my skin care regimen.

Then in the spring of 2025, a former side sister from my MLM company suggested that I try Olive Tree Products. She was excited because of their waterless composition as well as the line being Certified Organic and Vegan. I thought about it for a while before making the switch. The company opened sales in Canada in July that year and I joined as Beauty Consultant with Olive Tree People.

After some reflection, I realized that my makeup journey had me progressing from the department store brand that was "Good" to the MLM company that was "Better" to Olive Tree People that is the "Best" in terms of purity and quality. It used to be only sold in high end spas across Europe! I'm so pleased that I get to use these spa quality products at home.

My complexion shows the results and people often think that I'm younger than I am. I enjoy creating makeup looks and blending colours so my makeup shades match my outfits. I'm excited about the many new waterless product lines and looking forward to sharing about all the exciting product line news! So that's my story.... Midnight Rose for the Win!
