Farmhouse Charm Candles Inc.

A year of growth, challenges, and answered prayers. 🥹🤎 So grateful for every opportunity, our family, and everyone cheering us on!

Happy Thanksgiving! 🍂❤️

Sometimes I wonder where all of this will take us. 🤎

For now, it's just me and my husband carrying boxes, packing orders, and figuring things out as we go.

Not every day is easy, but I'm grateful we get to do this together.

Here's to worrying a little less about what could go wrong and imagining more of what could go right.

Sometimes the coolest collaborations happen when you least expect them.

When we shared our story with CTV News, we honestly had no idea who might be watching — or what could come from it.

Then Canadian Paint for Professional and DIY Painters reached out. 🇨🇦

They had seen our story and they were working on Authentically Canadian initiative, and thought our little candle business could be a great fit.

A few conversations with their creative team turned into an idea: create a custom scent inspired by the Canadian outdoors and one of their paint colours, True North. 🇨🇦🌲

Then came the testing, tweaking, blending and pouring… and eventually, the True North candle came to life. 🕯️

A scent inspired by the Canadian outdoors — evergreen, woods, crisp mountain air and a touch of citrus.

It’s kind of crazy to think that this collaboration started simply because someone at Cloverdale Paint happened to see our story on the news.

You really never know where one opportunity might lead. 🤎

TOO MANY ORDERS. 😂📦🕯️

Okay ahaha… the ONLY kind of problem I want in my small business.

Too many candles to pour.
Too many labels to stick.
Too many boxes to pack.
And definitely not enough hours in the day. 😅

I THOUGHT I was filming alone… until I watched the video back. 😂💀

Just trying to make a cute candle-making video and had NO idea i had somebody with me the whole time. 🤣

Small business + mom life… you really can’t make this stuff up. 🤎

The first time I was invited to join this panel, I actually said no. 😂

I honestly thought… are you sure you got the right person?

Then they invited me again, and I thought, okay… they can’t be wrong twice. 😂🤎

Today, I had the opportunity to join the Successful Women Panel with YW Calgary and share a little bit of my journey as an entrepreneur. YWCA Calgary

Such a new experience for me, but also such an inspiring one. I loved connecting with these incredible women, hearing their stories, and realizing that maybe all the mistakes, challenges, wins, and lessons along the way are stories worth sharing too.

Definitely stepped outside my comfort zone today. 🤎

We’ve had a lot of new faces here lately… so maybe it’s time we introduce ours. 👋

We’re Ellen & Glen — the husband-and-wife team behind Farmhouse Charm Candles. 🤎

From making and labeling to packing your orders, so much of what you see here happens right inside our little Calgary studio.

Now we want to meet YOU — where are you following from? 🇨🇦👇

Not your typical Halloween candle. 💀🥣

Meet CEREAL KILLER — our limited-edition, original skull candle design by Farmhouse Charm Candles.

We wanted to create something for Halloween that felt completely different — fun, a little unhinged, nostalgic, and definitely a conversation piece.

And when you’re done burning it, don’t throw it away! 💀 Repurpose the skull as a flower pot, pen holder, or use the remaining scented wax as wax melts. ♻️

🎃 Limited Edition for Halloween

Because each one is handmade, we can only make so many. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. 💀👀

We love seeing our candles become part of another brand’s story.
