People often think yoga begins on the mat. In the tradition we teach, it begins somewhere far less glamorous: in how you behave when no one is watching.
Before the postures, before the breath, come the Yamas β the ethical foundation of the entire practice. And the first of them is Ahimsa: non-violence.
Ahimsa is the hardest practice precisely because it is the most constant. It is not only about how we treat others β it is about the quiet violence we turn on ourselves: the harsh inner voice, the impossible standard, the refusal to rest.
The teaching is simple and demanding at once. Reverence for life, beginning with your own.
A strong practice is not built on flexibility or strength. It is built on a sound moral foundation β the way you live your everyday life, off the mat, in the ordinary hours.
This is the deeper work of yoga, and it is woven through every one of our teacher training programs.
Where in your life is Ahimsa asking to be practiced?

πΊ As the days grow shorter, nature does something we rarely allow ourselves to do: it turns inward.
In the yogic path there is a stage for exactly this. It is called Pratyahara β the withdrawal of the senses β the fifth of the eight limbs described by Patanjali.
The word comes from prati (away) and ahara (nourishment): to withdraw from that which constantly feeds the senses. Not to shut out the world, but to stop being pulled in every direction by it.
You have already tasted this state without naming it. In the quiet moment just before sleep, or the first second of waking, the senses loosen their grip on the outside and the mind grows still. Pratyahara is learning to return there on purpose.
In a life of endless notifications, this is not a luxury. It is how we recover the ability to hear ourselves think.
This autumn, before you add one more thing to your day, consider subtracting. Sit. Soften the eyes. Let the senses rest.
The practice of turning inward is at the heart of everything we teach.

πΊ Some professions treat the symptom. Others learn to listen to the whole body through a single point of contact.
Reflexology is built on a simple, profound idea: the feet hold a map of the entire body, and skilled hands can support balance, circulation and deep relaxation by working those reflex points with intention.
Our Reflexology Certification is a complete 180 hours of training, followed by 100 hours of supervised practicum β because reading a chart is not the same as knowing what a foot is telling you. You graduate with real hours, real clients and real confidence.
What you carry with you at the end:
β’ A working knowledge of foot maps, anatomy and technique
β’ The ability to assess and adapt to each individual
β’ A credential recognized across Canada (NHPC approved)
β’ A profession you can practice anywhere, for the rest of your life
β
180-Hour Certification + 100-Hour Practicum to follow
β
NHPC Approved β Trusted. Accredited. Respected.
