Next thing I know, I’m emotionally invested in whether Chad texted you back, celebrating your promotion like it’s my own, reminding you that your ex was, in fact, the problem, and hearing about your dog’s stomach issues before your own family does.

Somewhere between “Okay bring your knee ls to your tummy and life your cheek…” and “You’re all done!” we’ve laughed until we cried, solved approximately 73 life problems, and completely forgotten why you were anxious when you walked in.

Behind that treatment room door, you get to breathe. You get to vent, laugh a little too loud, cry if you need to, overshare, change your mind, and simply be you.

Your stories stay with me, but they never leave with me.
