One of the biggest reminders is that vulnerability is not weakness. It takes courage to be seen, to try something new, to be honest, and to keep going even when things feel uncomfortable.

Daring Greatly is a powerful reminder that growth happens when we stop playing small and step into the arena.

Throwing it back to this beautiful Extensionista transformation on Shenade a few years ago.

Her natural hair already had gorgeous dimension, and the extensions helped bring everything together with more length, fullness, and soft waves.

The goal is always a blend that looks effortless, natural, and beautiful from every angle.

When your client is letting her natural root grow out, the extension work has to grow with her hair journey.

At some point, the blonde root on the extensions will no longer match the darker natural root coming in. That is when custom root coloring becomes so important.

For this maintenance appointment, I colored the roots of her extensions to better match her natural hair, so the grow out looks softer, cleaner, and more seamless under the hood.

This is one of those little details that makes a big difference. The goal is not just beautiful hair when it is styled down. The goal is for the install to look intentional, blended, and polished even when you lift the hair and see the foundation.

A good extension transformation is not only about length and volume. It is also about proper color matching, maintenance, and adjusting the extensions as the client’s natural hair changes over time.

9 weeks of regrowth! ✨

I usually book my clients for maintenance every 7 weeks, but sometimes life happens and appointments need to be rescheduled.

This lovely longtime Extensionista got sick right before her appointment, so we had to move it. That meant she went 9 weeks between maintenance appointments.

Even after 9 weeks, her grow out was still healthy, and her hair and scalp were in great condition. 🙌🏾

That says a lot about the installation, yay me 😄, and also about her amazing at-home care, yay her! 👏🏾✨

I reinstalled her extensions this week, and we booked her next appointment in 7 weeks, so we are officially back to our regular maintenance schedule. 💕

I still do not recommend going that long between appointments regularly, but I also want to reassure you that if life happens and we need to stretch your maintenance a little longer, your hair and scalp can still be okay.

I make sure every installation is done with care, comfort, and long-term hair health in mind. ✨

I had to show you guys a side-by-side of Cheryl with her previous blonde hair and her new red hair because wow… she can truly pull off both colors! 😍🔥

When I say this lady looks good in everything, this is exactly what I mean. The blonde was beautiful, soft, and bright, but this red? She is giving confidence, warmth, and main character energy! ❤️✨

Cheryl is absolutely gorgeous, and I’m obsessed with this transformation! 💇‍♀️🔥

The last major conference I attended was the China International Hair Show in Guangzhou, China last year, and now I’m so excited for the next one! 🌍✨

Cheryl is officially a copper red now!!! 🔥

There is truly no color this gorgeous lady cannot pull off.

I have seen her in so many different colors over the years, and she somehow looks gorgeous in every single one of them.

When she came in yesterday with her brand new color, I was amazed by how beautifully it suited her. It looked absolutely stunning on her.

Her sister Tara, who is a hairdresser in Utah, colored Cheryl’s extensions for her. Cheryl brought them to me yesterday for the installation.

All I did was install them, add a little blending, and style everything.

The extensions blended perfectly with her natural hair, and she looks so gorgeous with this new copper red color!!!

You do not need to have everything figured out to start. You just need to take one step in the right direction.
