I sit staring at walls wondering where she is. I lie awake looking at the ceiling, still waiting for a call that I know isn’t coming. I wipe my tears on a daily, hoping God gives me enough strength to keep her name alive. Life has felt so lonely and confusing without her.

And despite all of these feelings, a glimmer of hope recently landed in my inbox.

I sat there crying as I watched it.

Thinking about how effortlessly Jasleen loved people, how she could just spark up a convo, and shed light into someone’s world within minutes… As heartbreaking as it is that this is how we honour her now, what a blessing it is to witness how deeply she was loved, and how beautifully she’ll continue to be remembered. 🤍🦋

Some people celebrate birthdays by receiving. Others celebrate by giving.

On July 10th, her birthday, Arti Priya chose to honour Jasleen’s memory through an incredible act of kindness.

Having witnessed the impact cancer can have on a family, she chose to give back in a truly meaningful way.

Over 100 children were provided with a warm meal of daal, sabji, rice, and roti. Each child also received a happiness kit filled with little treats like cookies and candy- small joys they may not otherwise get to experience.

She also extended support to a family of three children who recently lost their mom.

There are so many ways to keep someone’s love alive after they’re gone. This is one of them. And I know we’re not alone with this.

Thank you, Arti Priya , for carrying Jasleen’s light into the world. I know she is soo so soooo deeply touched by this.
