〔 ⨈ 〕 Those vertical neck bands have a name.

They're called platysmal bands.

As we age, the platysma muscle becomes more prominent. Repeated muscle contraction, combined with collagen loss and skin laxity, can cause the vertical bands in the neck to become increasingly visible—even at rest.

Neuromodulators work by gently relaxing the platysma, reducing the appearance of these bands while creating a smoother, softer neck contour. In many cases, this also decreases the downward pull on the lower face, subtly enhancing jawline definition.
