Your dish soap has an ingredient list… right? 👀

You might be surprised how many household cleaning products doesn’t come with ingredient list on the bottle.

As a chemist, that’s an immediate reason for me to be more suspicious 🤨

My 3 non-negotiables when choosing dish soap:

1️⃣ Made in Canada 🇨🇦 — support local + potentially avoid added costs associated with imported products.

2️⃣ Concentrated 💧 — I check for unnecessary gums and thickeners. A thick soap doesn’t automatically mean a more concentrated or effective soap.

3️⃣ No artificial fragrance 🌿 — I prefer unscented or naturally scented formulas with clearly disclosed ingredients.

We think about ingredients in our food and skincare, so why not the products we use on our dishes every single day?

Healthy living doesn’t have to mean changing everything overnight. Sometimes it starts with simply turning the bottle around.

I was fascinated with magical properties of essential oils. 🪄

⛰️One day, 4 of us went hiking in the Rockies and I decided to test their limits with my essential oil spray.

One of my friends insisted on using a DEET spray instead of mine saying “it’s the only thing that works!”

The rest of us decided to try. At least my spray smelled good 👍

In the middle of the hike, my DEET covered friend turned, frustrated by the pesky fliers, “give me the darn spray!”

Since then, ADVENTURE has been the faithful companion among my friends and family whenever we explore my great outdoors.

After this rainy season, I felt compelled to share this secret. Unfortunately, I could only made a super small batch. 😢
