🥾🏔️ Widow Maker Trail – This Sunday! 🌲🌼
Who’s ready for another great morning on the trails? Join us this Sunday as we head out to Widow Maker Trail in beautiful Kananaskis! 🌿

📍 Meet: Good Earth Coffeehouse (to carpool) 🕗
Time: 8:00 a.m. sharp

Widow Maker is a local favourite, offering a wonderful mix of forested pathways, rolling terrain, and spectacular mountain views. Along the way, you’ll enjoy fresh alpine air, beautiful scenery, and plenty of opportunities to stop for photos. 📸🏔️

The trail is considered moderate, with a few steeper sections that will get your heart pumping, but the rewarding views make every step worthwhile! 💚
🎒 Please bring:💧 Water🥪 Snacks🥾 Sturdy hiking shoes🐻 Bear spray☀️ Sunscreen & a hat 📷 Your camera—and your sense of adventure!

📢 If you haven’t hiked with us before, we kindly ask that you join us for one of our local, in-town walks before participating in an out-of-town mountain hike. It’s a great opportunity to meet the group, get to know our hiking pace and style, and help ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Thank you for your understanding! Get ready for a beautiful morning on the trails! 🌿 Fullerton Loop offers a lovely mix of forested pathways, gentle elevation, and some fantastic viewpoints along the way. I’m told the wildflowers are absolutely spectacular right now, so it should be a wonderful time to experience this hike! 🌼🌸🌿

• Bear spray (if you carry it) 🐻

☔🌦️ It seems like June has been a pretty rainy month! But one thing I love about this community is that, rain or shine, we always figure out a plan. Pivot, as they say! 💪😄

🤔 What’s the plan?
We’re keeping our options open! Some brave souls may choose to walk from Good Earth to the river pathways 🚶‍♀️🌿, while others may decide that coffee and breakfast are the better adventure. ☕🍳

I guess this is how we separate the die-hards from the breakfast club! 😂

Sunday’s hike was great!! 🥾⛰️

One could say there were certainly a few forks in the road… 🤔🛤️ A few GPS consultations may have been required 📍📱, and perhaps even some creative navigational techniques! 😄🧭

But we did it!! 💪🎉 And the views were absolutely awesome. 🌲🏔️☀️

🌲 Hike: Fish Creek Provincial Park – Inner Loop West Trail
📸🌞 Fresh air, great company, and beautiful scenery!

We had perfect timing last Sunday — the clouds started rolling in just as we were finishing our walk. What a terrific local adventure in such a beautiful spot.

We only had one small detour due to trail flooding, but just like that, another path opened up and we were back on track.
