Your summer activities might be fun… but your body is still keeping score.

Walking, hiking, golfing, gardening, travelling, camping, and carrying bags can all ask more from your hips, low back, feet, shoulders, and core.

Sometimes the area that feels sore is not the only area involved.

🔹A stiff foot can affect the hip.
🔹A tight hip can affect the low back.
🔹A cranky shoulder can change how you move through your neck and ribs.

At Alignment Health Services, Crystal looks at how the body is working together, not just where the discomfort is showing up.

After your next hike, golf game, or garden session, notice what feels tight, tired, or restricted. That feedback can be helpful at your next appointment.

Have a myofascial ball at home and no idea what to do with it?

You are not alone.

A myofascial ball can be a helpful tool for supporting tight areas, improving body awareness, and giving your body a little between-appointment attention.
The key is using it with intention.

More pressure is not always better. The goal is not to win a fight with your fascia.

The goal is to gently communicate with your body and notice how it responds.

Crystal has a myofascial ball video you can follow along with at home so you can feel more confident using this simple tool.

Itchy eyes, congestion, fogginess, sneezing, or that general “something is off” feeling?

Summer allergy season has officially entered the chat.

Bio-feedback does not diagnose allergies or replace medical care, but it may provide another layer of information about patterns, sensitivities, and stressors your body may be responding to.

A scan can help support a more informed wellness conversation around what may be contributing to seasonal symptoms and what your body may need more support with right now.

Sometimes it is not about guessing.

It is about gathering more information.

Book your bio-feedback scan and explore which scan option may be the best fit for you.

Summer has a sneaky way of making us more active than we realize.

A little hiking here.
Some gardening there.
A round of golf.
A camping trip.
A road trip.
A “quick” yard project that somehow becomes three hours long.

And then suddenly your hips, shoulders, back, or feet start sending very strongly worded feedback.

Alignment Therapy may help support mobility, ease tension, improve body awareness, and give your nervous system a chance to settle before discomfort becomes harder to ignore.

You do not have to wait until you are hurt to book in.
Proactive care can be a simple way to help your body keep up with the season.

Book your Alignment Therapy session before your summer schedule gets even busier.

🍁 Happy Canada Day from Alignment Health Services! 🍁

We hope your day includes a little rest, a little fresh air, and maybe a very Canadian mix of sunshine, snacks, family time, and checking the weather app every 12 minutes.

We are grateful to be part of this Cochrane community and to support so many real people in their everyday wellness, movement, recovery, and body care.

Enjoy the holiday, move kindly, hydrate well, and maybe stretch before carrying the cooler like it is an Olympic event.

We’ll be back to regular appointments after the holiday. Book your July check-in if your body is already asking for one.

Before the long weekend, take a moment to check in with your body.

Road trips, yard work, golf, hiking, camping, lake days, and patio time can all be wonderful — but they can also bring extra sitting, lifting, twisting, walking, and activity your body may not be used to.

A few simple reminders:
🔹Stretch before long drives.
🔹Take movement breaks.
🔹Stay hydrated.
🔹Notice what feels tight or tired.
🔹Give your body time to recover.

A little care before the weekend can make it easier to enjoy the weekend.

Save this for your Canada Day weekend plans!

School wrap-up season can be a lot.

Extra events, busy evenings, emotional kids, teacher gifts, sports schedules, work deadlines, and summer planning can all add up — and the body often notices before we do.

Tension may show up as tight shoulders, headaches, jaw clenching, shallow breathing, low back discomfort, or simply feeling run down.

This is your reminder to pause and check in with your body.
✅ Unclench your jaw.
✅ Lower your shoulders.
✅ Take a breath.
✅ Notice what feels tense.

You do not have to wait until your body is loudly protesting to get focused support.

Save this as your school wrap-up body check-in.

The work you do between appointments matters.

Your treatment session is important, but so are the small things you do in your daily routine — how you move, how you breathe, how you rest, and how often you notice what your body is trying to compensate for.

Depending on what your body needs, we may suggest simple home care such as:
🔹Mobility work
🔹Breathing resets
🔹Nervous system support
🔹Gentle strengthening
🔹Body awareness exercises
🔹Small changes to daily movement patterns

The goal is not to give you a long list of homework.

It is to help you build simple tools that support the focused work done during your session and help your body keep adapting between visits.

Ask about between-appointment support at your next session.

Golf, gardening, hiking, walking, yard work, and summer activities can all ask a lot from your hips, low back, feet, and core.

Sometimes the area that feels sore is not the only area involved. Limited foot mobility, tight hips, compensation patterns, or changes in how you move can all affect how your body handles activity.

At Alignment Health Services, Crystal looks at how the body is working as a whole and uses focused, hands-on treatment to support movement, alignment, and function. If your body is feeling a little louder as summer activities pick up, it may be worth noticing what patterns are showing up.

Pay attention to what feels tight, tired, or restricted after your next round of golf, garden session, or hike.
