A few months into barbering back in 2018, I already knew this career was going to be deeper than haircuts for me.

Yeah, I loved the fades, the transformations, the style changes… but what really stuck with me was the people.

The conversations.
The trust.
Watching someone slowly become more confident in themselves over the years.

There’s something powerful about having people sit in your chair regularly and allowing you to be part of their life in some small way. You start noticing when they’re growing, changing, going through hard seasons, becoming fathers, chasing dreams, rebuilding confidence, or simply trying to figure themselves out.

A haircut won’t fix insecurity.
But feeling listened to, respected, and cared for can genuinely help someone grow into themselves.

To the barbers out there:
Never underestimate the impact you can have on people just by slowing down, listening well, and caring about the person beyond the haircut.
