Can scar camouflage change a scar’s texture?
Pigment camouflage is intended to reduce visible colour contrast. It does not flatten a raised scar or fill a depression in the skin.
That distinction matters because two scars with similar colour can need very different conversations. Before suggesting treatment, I look at both colour and texture, along with how stable the tissue is and what you hope to improve.

Ar**la pigmentation and ar**la neutralization have different starting points.
Pigmentation may be used to create the appearance of an ar**la after surgery. Neutralization focuses on adjusting existing ar**la colour when greater visual balance is desired.
The right approach depends on the tissue, its current colour, how it has healed, and the result you hope for. A consultation gives us space to discuss those details without rushing a decision.

One of the most important parts of paramedical tattooing is setting realistic expectations.
Scar camouflage is designed to reduce visual contrast and help an area blend more naturally with the surrounding skin.
It does not erase a scar.
Skin also changes with lighting, temperature, tanning, healing and time, which means a treated area will never behave exactly like untouched skin.
I would rather explain those limitations clearly before treatment than promise a result that isn't realistic.
The goal is thoughtful improvement not perfection.
