This month marks 10 years since Alfred started his career in massage therapy. And not only has he been practicing for 10 years but he has spent ALL 10 as a part of our 3 Leaf family.

So I wanted to take a minute to recognize not only what amazing massage therapist he is … but just how much we appreciate ALL of who he is ❤️

Alfred is one of the kindest people I know. He thinks about others, how he impacts them, how he can help them … and one could even say, he over thinks it all😜
Because it matters so deeply to him.

People matter deeply to him.
That they feel better…
That they feel respected…
That they feel welcomed…
That they feel safe…

To him, it isn’t just about the massage. It is about the whole experience and making sure every client gets what they need.

Now, If you are lucky enough to have been on his table at some point in the last 10 years you would know what a gentle soul he is… yet don’t worry… this takes nothing away from his deep tissue massage.
Instead it is what grounds him… bringing a thoughtfulness to his treatment. He takes the time to think about the techniques he is using and the goal of each treatment.
He is strong, and focused… yet easily incorporates stones and relaxation elements.

Alfred is also the person you call when you need a hand. The one who will show up and help and somehow make you feel that you have done HIM a favour by asking.
Which… thinking on it, really is just another example of why he so naturally does this work. Because being of service to others… spending your days helping, treating, holding space and finding a way to always feel so privileged to get to do so… is what makes him a great massage therapist.

Alfred also takes the care of his co workers very seriously. I have often joked that he is our own personal door man… always making sure to watch our staff walk to their cars at the end of the night.
He helps other therapists make their tables when they are falling behind, he fixes things, stays late to finish a last load of laundry … and he gives the biggest hugs.

And even beyond that… he cares about how well they do. Always celebrating 3 Leaf and our team. The first to share a post highlighting another therapist - genuinely invested in their success.
He’s the ultimate team player and really knows how to make you feel like family.

I am so grateful for the many years Alfred has invested in 3 Leaf and for the honour of being able to watch him grow… as a therapist, a dad and as a friend.

So cheers to 10 years! And thank you for being you ❤️

She is passionate about creating a safe, restorative space where her clients can truly reconnect with their bodies.

Erika is a 2026 graduate from Alberta College of Massage Therapy.
