Before working at VF, I held a belief that extensions were inherently damaging. Now, while I do still believe everyone should give their hair a break if you are a long time extension wearer every now and then, I have found a whole new appreciation for the art of extensions

Except this wasn’t bad work. This is work that hasn’t been maintained properly, admittedly by the client. Installs like the one she originally had have a shelf life, and my recommendation is every 4 weeks for a move up.

Some of my clients who have been here forever already know this story because of the time off I’ve had to take over the years.

For those of you just joining… welcome to the chaotic party where apparently I scold you to touch your bo***es. 😂

But seriously, this is something I’ve dealt with for YEARS, and after my most recent lump, I figured it was finally time to share a little more of the story.

I’ve had 8 (soon 9) ultrasounds, 3 biopsies, 2 surgeries and now my first mammogram — all before the age of 31.

Thankfully, every single biopsy has come back benign. And I am SO incredibly grateful for that.

But the anxiety that comes with finding a new lump, waiting for imaging, waiting for biopsy results, and wondering “what if this time it’s different?” is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

So yes, I’m here to tell you to touch your b***s. 😂

Know what’s normal for you. Know what your breasts normally feel like. And if something feels different, PLEASE get it checked.

You are never “too young” to pay attention to your body.
