If you know me, you’ll know I am a lot. I’m loud, I have many different laughs, I’m awkward, I can be abrasive at times, I’m messy, I’m opinionated, I work hard & love harder. I feel very deeply to a fault sometimes, I can be rather impatient, I would die for people I care about & my loyalty runs deep. Im an animated story teller, & I try to live in each moment with the same fondness as when I look back on the memory they’ve become & with no regrets - as I’ve had more than enough experiences that have shown that in the blink of an eye all you’re left with are those memories.

For a really long time I watered myself down to be what I thought people wanted me to be - out of fear being met with resistance or being disliked - spoiler alert - it got me no where but lost. I was so focused on what others thought in general, I lost my connection to myself living a life on others terms, & forgot what my truth even was let alone speak it.

But no more.

Every single day I take a little bit more of my power back. I am kind & have integrity, but I take no s**t. I speak my truth instead of silencing myself for the sake of others & building resent, I set boundaries in my life so I’m not constantly running on empty and I re enforce them when they’re tested instead of letting them crumble. I’ve stopped chasing people/ things that no longer serve me & focus on my own growth to move on to bigger & better things.

The more I take my power back, the more it shows in everything I do & I feel more confident & connected to myself & the world around me. In my work - Balayage embodies authenticity for myself and every person I paint for. The creativity that flows through me & my gut feeling being stronger than ever, has given me the confidence to do something I love on my terms, refuse the things I don’t, attract people who love me, & in turn give something beautiful that lets peoples truest & best selves shine through.
