thirty-three 🎂✨️
Another year older and so much to celebrate! This past year brought some pretty special moments — welcoming our sweet Chloe, watching Ava start Kindergarten, growing Meraki with new team members, and learning how to balance it all somewhere in between.
I have so much to be grateful for entering this next year of life. My little family, the business I’ve spent years building and my fabulous clients, the people I get to share it all with, and a life that feels very full in the best way.

7 YEARS OF MERAKI 🎀🥂✨️
Today officially marks 7 years since Meraki opened its doors — and somehow, that number doesn’t quite feel real.
What started as a simple dream has grown into a space, a brand, and a community that I’m incredibly proud of. Over the last seven years, Meraki has grown through new treatments, new technology, new spaces, new faces and so many different seasons of life — but the heart behind it has always stayed the same.
And truly, none of it exists without you. 🫶🏼
To every client who has booked an appointment, trusted me with their skin, recommended Meraki to a friend, purchased a product, left a review, celebrated a milestone with us or simply continued to walk through our doors year after year — thank you!
Some of you have been here since the very beginning, and some of you are brand new to Meraki. Regardless of how long you've been part of our little family, thank you. From the girl talk to the blind faith and trust with your skin, thank you for your support. Thank you for allowing me the honor to be part of your lives. Laser hair removal comes with a LOT of questions — especially if you’ve never had it done before. So, let’s get into some of the ones we hear most often. 👀
🔥 Is laser hair removal permanent?
When a hair follicle is successfully destroyed, that follicle is permanently damaged and will no longer produce a hair. However, not every follicle is active at the same time. Dormant follicles can become active later — especially with hormonal changes — creating what looks like “new” hair growth over time. That’s why some clients may still benefit from occasional maintenance treatments after completing their initial series.
🔥 Will I be hair-free after 6 treatments?
There’s no magic number that applies to everyone. Six treatments is a common starting series, but the total number you’ll need depends on the area, hair density, hair colour, hormones and how your body responds to treatment.
🔥 Can I still get laser if my hair growth is hormonal?
Yes! Laser can be very effective at managing unwanted hormonal hair growth, but hormones can continue to activate dormant follicles over time. Clients with hormonal growth may require additional treatments or more ongoing maintenance.
🔥 Why won’t laser work on blonde, red, grey or white hair?
Laser targets pigment (melanin) within the hair. Very light, grey and white hairs don’t contain enough of the pigment our laser needs to effectively target the follicle.
🔥 How bad does a Brazilian actually hurt?
We won’t pretend you can’t feel it. 😂 The Brazilian can definitely be a more sensitive area, but treatments are quick and our GentleMax Pro uses a Dynamic Cooling Device with each laser pulse to help keep you comfortable. For those who are extra sensitive, a topical numbing cream can also be used beforehand to help minimize the sensation.
