Rear-ended last week and feeling fine? Whiplash often does not show up right away.
After a collision, the neck can feel okay for a day or two while the adrenaline is still up. Then the stiffness, headaches, and reduced range of motion arrive. This is common, and it is a reason not to wait to get assessed even if you walked away feeling alright.
What an early assessment does. It establishes a baseline of how your neck is moving now, starts gentle movement to keep things from locking up, and gets a recovery plan in motion while the injury is fresh. Beverly Physiotherapy direct-bills MVA claims, so for approved claims your assessment and treatment are zero out of pocket, and we handle the paperwork.
You do not need a doctor's referral in Alberta to book a physio assessment. Bring your claim number to your first visit and we take it from there. East-end patients have trusted our team to walk them through recovery, one step at a time.

Pickleball is having a summer in Edmonton, and so is pickleball elbow.
That nagging ache on the outside of the elbow is usually tennis elbow, an overuse irritation of the tendons that run from your forearm to the joint. All those quick wrist snaps and repeated d***s add up, especially when you jump from zero games a week to five.
How to keep playing without making it worse. Warm up your wrists and forearms before you step on the court. Check your paddle grip size and string or surface, since a grip that is too small makes the forearm work harder. Build your playing volume up gradually instead of back-to-back marathon sessions. And ice the elbow after a long day on the court.
If the ache lingers between games, grips weakly when you pick up a kettle, or has been there for weeks, an assessment can get you ahead of it before the season slips by.
