“Canada Day in the Capital” is my tribute to the beauty, history, and spirit of Fredericton, New Brunswick. This painting captures the city’s iconic skyline glowing beneath a spectacular Canada Day fireworks display, where the reflections dance across the Saint John (Wolastoq) River.

The historic silhouette features some of Fredericton’s most recognizable landmarks, including Christ Church Cathedral, the New Brunswick Legislative Building, City Hall, TD Tower Fredericton , they justice building, Saint Paul United Church , Crowne Plaza, Bill Thorpe walking Bridge and the vibrant downtown waterfront. I also included the Wolastoq Boat Tours, celebrating the river that has connected people and communities for generations.

I enjoyed creating, this piece built in many layers and find details. Reflecting everything on the beautiful historic Wallace river.

For me, this painting is about more than fireworks—it’s about celebrating community, heritage, and the timeless beauty of Fredericton’s historic waterfront.
