It’s that time again!
We love to kick off Pride with our Genderfree Haircut Day!
This is our FIFTH annual celebration of affirming hair, providing safe spaces, and smashing gender norms in traditional salon and barber spaces.
We love the honour bestowed upon us to make folks feel how they want in their hair, and don’t believe gender or who you love should be a barrier to achieving that joy.
This year we’ll have five stylists available on Sunday May 31 starting at 10am to provide haircuts for our friends in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Feel free to pay what you can, we will be donating proceeds to local groups providing affirming care.

For Tessa, hairstyling is about more than just hair, it’s about connection. She prioritizes building strong, trusting relationships with her guests, ensuring every visit is a personalized experience that leaves them feeling confident and cared for.

Her goal in the industry is to eventually specialize in textured hair, but loves working with all hair types, and all different types of people. She continues to learn and grow her skills, through continued guidance and experience. She is fully committed to continuous growth throughout her career, staying up to date with the latest trends and techniques. Although she did not take the traditional path through hair school, she has completed almost all of her apprenticeship hours while working with talented stylists who have allowed her creative skills to flourish, and gaining practical experience.

In her free time Tessa loves to go on adventures- travelling, and exploring new spots in the city, especially thrift stores. She’s also a big foodie, she loves to cook and bake, always trying new recipes, and has to try out new restaurants anywhere she goes. She also has an adoration for crafting, or playing board games with her loved ones.
