Quite literally someone referred to my business as being “closed down” this week. Which is not true.

In 2024, I was approved to do an IVF retrieval cycle, got married and became a city councillor. Many things overlapping meant that I felt I couldn’t do it all. Closing the shop in Guelph seemed like the right thing to do with the information I had at the time.

Since then I have been doing things quietly. Small launches, local markets, a handful of wholesale orders.

Making this business work better for me and my life has been my focus. And I’m excited to share that I’m working on some new ways for me to serve you.

I tried real hard to commit to this trend but honestly, I didn’t get further than January.

Of course, 2025 had many beautiful moments. But my phone’s memory is full of memories with my baby. My life’s memories now all filter through this new lens.

No matter how you prepare, how many people tell you their what motherhood is, no matter how many books you read - it is a journey or discovery that you have to experience.

I have felt myself shift my priorities. What life was before just a distant memory. A sudden, violent shift into a new life.

Becoming a mother changes everything.

And now I feel like I’m still figuring my new self out. Letting go of what doesn’t serve me anymore, but also letting in and feeling all the good moments, the simple moments.

So cheers to figuring it all out in 2026. The joy, the new memories, the sleepless nights, frustrations, the lack of time. I want it all. ❤️

A lot can happen in a year! Oh, 2025. You were a magical and exhausting beast. Even though this year had its challenges, 2025 will always be the year that I became a mom. And I really, really wanted to become that for a long time. ❤️

While I have been showing up differently in this space, I still love my sage soap community. ❤️This year I worked on fewer things, made fewer things. Yet I had a renewed sense of enjoyment for creating.

In 2026, you can expect to find me here a little more often! The website will be back up and running (on a smaller scale) and I will be doing seasonal launches and working with a few shops.

Hello sage friends! It has been a smaller scaled season for me but it has been so lovely to reconnect with so many of you and fill up your stockings with sage soap goodies. 💚

My last offering of the season are curated gift boxes! They include bath bombs, soaps, steamers, salves and a few other handmade goods. I can curate just a few more this holiday season and can customize to a variety of price points between $30-$100. Please message or email me with what you’re looking for and I will create a beautiful package for you or your loved one. Pickup will be available at the end of next week and I may be able to offer shipping. Please note that quantities are limited and boxes will be made on a first come first serve basis!

Making soap Tragedy Ann has been a favourite project of mine and so when Liv asked if I wanted to make them another few batches of “I Hope This Scrubs You Well” - the little part of me that loves to craft soap came alive again. ✨

This soap is made with a calendula and thyme oil that I made and soaked in olive oil. The thyme and calendula come from my backyard and a local farm. It’s scented with thyme and lavender and includes tulsi, thyme and calendula, and a bit of oatmeal in the body of the soap.

Tragedy Ann curates a selection of locally made goods that reflects their deep connections to the community. When you listen to their music type of care wraps around you and holds you like a big hug and you can hear how much they care about their friends, neighbours, family and community.
