A trigger point can sit quietly in a muscle and become irritated when the muscle is overworked, dehydrated, you are overtired, or a mix of all.

The surrounding muscles can then tighten up to protect the area, since our bodies may think that tissue is injured. This is called “GUARDING”, and it often leaves you with even more pain.

Massage and acupuncture help release that extra tension and calm your nervous system, so your muscles can let go and the tissue can soften.

Some of you know that this day holds extra weight for us since we lost our sweet Myles. He was 18 months old and I imagine him every day playing with his siblings.🤍

Tonight at 7 pm, I’ll light a candle for him, and for all of my friends who know this ache too.
