First, I want to take a moment to thank my amazing client, --ashley, for generously volunteering her time to model for my students at Academy Of Cosmetology . ❤️

I only wish I had remembered to take before photos! Ashley came in with approximately 5 weeks of growth—which we definitely do not recommend—but it created an incredible real-life learning opportunity for my students. It allowed them to see first hand why professional fills are recommended every 3–4 weeks and the challenges that can arise when maintenance is delayed.

During this service, my students had the opportunity to practice and learn:

✨ Proper rebalancing of the nail structure
✨ Correct shaping and shortening
✨ Gel structure maintenance
✨ Polish application techniques
✨ Nail art

While I provided guidance and assistance throughout the service, the majority of the work was completed by my students—and I could not be more proud of them! ❤️

They are an incredibly talented and dedicated group with so much potential to grow and succeed in this industry. Experiences like this are so important because they allow students to build confidence, develop their skills, and learn how to work with a variety of real-life nail situations.

A huge thank-you to clients who are willing to come in knowing that our students are still learning and developing their skills. Your patience, encouragement, and understanding mean more than you know. When clients create a supportive learning environment, it helps students feel less pressure, gain confidence, and truly enjoy the learning process.
