We’re thrilled to have two amazing Nova Scotia artists joining us for Duck Day! They’ll each have their own booth, so if you’re an art lover, be sure to stop by, browse their work, and learn more about the inspiration behind their art. 💚

🐟 Liz Bateman is a fisheries biologist, artist, and scientific illustrator based in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley. Her detailed artwork celebrates local fish and aquatic life, combining her scientific knowledge with her love of the outdoors. You may recognize Liz’s work from the Nova Scotia Fishing Regulations Guide or information signs featuring juvenile fish!

🌿 Melissa White is a Mi’kmaw artist from Wallace Hills Reserve (Sipekne’katik), Nova Scotia. Her artwork is inspired by Mi’kmaq culture, storytelling, nature, and our connection to the land. You may recognize her beautiful work throughout our Whispers from the Wetlands signs, as well as in the Shubenacadie Wildlife Park Orange Shirt logo.

As I continue to strive for excellence and provide the best experience possible, I have a couple of important updates to share:

1. New Client Policy:
I will be pausing the acceptance of new clients. This decision allows me to dedicate more time and focus to on my full existing clientele, ensuring each visit is as enjoyable and personalized as possible.

2. Kids’ Haircut Pricing: Starting July 1st the price for kids’ haircuts will align with my adult cut prices. This adjustment reflects the quality and care I put into every service, regardless of age.
