This is something I do every year because today is a day that deserves our attention, our reflection, our learning and, most importantly, our action.

September 30 is a day to honour Survivors of residential schools, remember the children who never came home, and acknowledge the devastating and ongoing impact residential schools have had on Indigenous children, families and communities.

And while one day of giving doesn’t undo generations of harm, I believe that doing something is better than doing nothing.
