Hey everyone, so after a lot of consideration I'm going to be extending my cancelation notice requirements to now be 48 hrs, instead of the 24 hrs previously required. This isn't due to any person in particular, but instead this has been years in the making, and many other manual therapists have also already made this switch.

This extra time will allow me to notify others on my cancelation list, and allow them to be able to rearrange their schedules.

As you all know, I do my own admin work, as well as everything else that goes on behind the scenes. So, a short notice cancelation can sometimes really put me in a jam, as I can't always pause the things I'm already doing to be able to deal with that.

And of course, the more notice, the better. Thank you for the people who are able to give me as much notice as possible to make these changes. I appreciate you! 🙏

The work day isn't finished yet, so hopefully I can get some more costumed patients coming in. 😜

Hey everyone, I figured I should send out a quick note about the cold & flu season we're getting into. My sickness policy is still the same as it has always been. If you're sick with something contagious then let's please reschedule, and if you know a few days ahead of time then please give me as much notice as possible! It doesn't matter whether it's just a headcold, the flu or something else. My ringer is almost always off so you don't have to worry about letting me know at the right or wrong time ;)

Having said that, being on the cancelation list for a sooner appointment is not a bad way to go, especially if your availability is flexible.

Well, I'm back from an amazing course trip. This time I went to the UK for the VM6 class in Scotland! I had an amazing time there, and I will definitely go back again.

This was one of the last VM6 classes offered, as they're discontinuing the class and instead the material will be combined with VM5. I'm so glad I got to learn it this way before the change, and I'm actually kind of sad that the future students are going to have some of the material cut out.

If anyone was trying to get a hold of me via either text or calling, I'm sorry but I had to change out my Canadian Sim card while I was gone, so I'm not even sure if texts bounced back to the senders or what. Anyways, please reach out again if you had tried and did not get a response. I'm back to regular life again and happy to be back to work tomorrow!

It's been a while since I posted anything on here, so here's an update. The past 6 months have been busy with lots of amazing continuing Ed courses, as well as the TRU courses on the side. So just because I've been silent doesn't mean I'm slacking. Far from it!

This latest one is the VM5 course; manual thermal evaluation and visceroemotional relationships. Holy smokes it exceeded my expectations! Good thing too because getting to Albaquerque during snowmageddon last week was a bit of a sh*t-show.

This work is about a whole new set of assessment skills, and then a whole lot more. So in an area of dysfunction the body will tend to have thermal projections; usually being heat. We learned to scan for these hot spots using our hands, and then we work with them based on whether they present as being purely physival or if they have an emotional connection. I know it sounds a little strange, but I'm very much looking forward to incorporating these new skills and seeing what results can come from them!
