📏 Episode 1 of my Beginner Wig Journey Series!

One of the most common mistakes new wig wearers make is skipping their measurements before shopping.

In this video, I’ll show you the 3 key measurements you need:

A few people asked how I moved the part on Magnolia Bronde, so here’s my favorite trick!

Because she’s a free-part wig, you’re not locked into one parting space. I simply applied a little heat at the root where I wanted the new part to sit.

The real magic happens during the cooling process. After adding heat, I lift the fibers and allow them to cool while hanging upside down. As the fibers cool, they set in their new position and create beautiful lift and volume.

Heat tells the fibers where to go… cooling tells them to stay there. 🙌

I just unboxed Tressie in Magnolia Bronde from Dixie Crowns , and she was pretty right out of the box.

But then I added a little heat for lift, moved the part, and gave her some extra volume… and WOW. 😍

This is exactly why I always encourage new wig wearers not to judge a wig straight out of the box. Sometimes a few simple tweaks can completely transform the look.

Four years ago, I never could have imagined where this journey would take me.

Before COVID, I had a full head of hair. Then came the hair loss, the fear, the tears, and eventually the decision to shave my head.

At the time, it felt like I was losing a part of myself.

But looking back, I wasn’t losing myself… I was finding her.

The woman who learned that confidence isn’t found in her hair.
The woman who discovered that beauty isn’t measured by what’s growing on her head.
The woman who found strength she never knew she had.

What started as one of the hardest seasons of my life led me to an incredible community of women walking similar journeys.

Today, I’m grateful for every lesson, every challenge, and every person I’ve met along the way.
