Essence Works 成立於2015年，本身是一位芳療師的我，發現在加拿大市面上從名廠供應商到不知名小品牌供應商都有，但價格上有一定的差距。在網上搜尋也有很多不同意見，一般都是推薦大品牌、大量批發或需要入會才可購買得到。當年作為一個新手，只能夠將有潛質的品牌購買回家，再確定精油品質。因而發現價格高低和品質並不一定成正比，精油找到了但同時配件也是個問題。

用一年多時間，終於找到了不同的而有品質保證供應商。為了自己能用上有品質保證的精油，及放便初學者或愛好者能夠分享我們的搜尋成果，因此決定成立自家品牌。

我們成立的目的是為了精油愛好者，可以用合理價格購買100% 純度及治療級的精油，和周邊產品。我們的供應商家不斷在世界各地搜購，以確保我們的供應符合嚴格的質量標準。

Our Oil of the week is Juniperberry Essential Oil! Juniperberry has a bittersweet, fresh, astringent aroma, and is best know for its cleansing properties, as well as its positive effect on the mind. Juniperberry has strong cleansing, antiseptic properties, this makes it a great oil to use in a dilution for treating wounds and blemishes, helping to protect any open wounds, and speed up the healing process. Juniperberry can also be used in Haircare products, as its Astringent properties help to prevent hair loss! Juniperberry is known to have a stimulating effect on the mind and senses, ideal for people who are suffering from low mood or fatigue and need a little boost. It is even said to be one of the most effective essential oils for dealing with inner trauma and pain. Juniperberry is often used in detoxifying body care and bath products, this is because it helps to encourage elimination, which in turn helps your body to release toxins through sweating, leaving you feeling refreshed, and your skin clearer! Try a vigorous massage with a blend of 2 drops of Juniperberry and 2 drops of Grapefruit in 10ml of Coconut oil. In a poll, conducted in Healing Fragrances School of Aromatherapy group for professional and student Aromatherapists.
Participants were asked to choose one out of 4 blends,
they would recommend for morning showers that are uplifting and invigorating.

The choices were
1. Lime Distilled & Juniper
2. Geranium & Black Spruce
3. Bergamot & Eucalyptus Radiata,
4. Grapefruit & Tunisian Rosemary.

75% of the therapists & students chose the Grapefruit and Tunisian Rosemary

1. Grapefruit - Uplifting citrus scent, high in d-limonene, refreshing, youthful and antiseptic.
2. Tunisian Rosemary, Invigorating, conifer, herbaceous scent, high in 1,8 cineole, rubefacient, expectorant.

This is a classic for morning showers and a great choice to defeat the winter blues.
