There are seasons when creating comes easily… and seasons when simply making it through the day is enough.

It’s been months since I’ve had the opportunity to make soap. Life has been full of renovations, caring for family, running the store, and navigating challenges that have left very little room for creativity.

So when I finally stepped back into the soap room, I knew exactly which recipe I wanted to make.

Flourish. 🌿

The name felt like a quiet prayer.

Its fresh blend of rosemary, lavender, and litsea fills the room with a scent that feels clean, uplifting, and deeply refreshing. The warm orange colour comes naturally from paprika-infused olive oil, giving each bar a soft, calming glow.

As I poured these loaves today, I realized this soap reflects exactly what my heart has been longing for—not the absence of hard seasons, but the grace to flourish within them.

Sometimes flourishing doesn’t look like doing more.

Sometimes it looks like finding your way back to the things that bring life to your soul.

Today, for me, that was making soap.

This one came together a little differently than usual.

No complicated design.
No swirling.
Just a simple, steady pour… and a beautiful result.

Scented with Bulgarian lavender, rosemary, patchouli, and a touch of benzoin — it’s soft, grounding, and just a little bit herbal in the best way.

The color comes naturally from a strong alkanet infusion, giving it this muted, earthy lavender tone that feels calm and timeless.

Sometimes the simplest batches end up being the ones I love the most.

The early days of making soap on shelves, setting up at markets, labeling bottles by hand, and figuring things out as I went. It was simple, a little messy, and full of heart.

Lavender & Ladybugs officially turns 10 this year, and I honestly can’t believe how much has grown from those first moments.

This little business has changed a lot over the years… and so have I.

And lately, I’ve been feeling that shift again.

With a new space on the horizon, it feels like a new season is coming—not just for the business, but for me too.

Nothing is changing just yet…
but something new is slowly taking shape.
