Welcome to Laser Service Solution, where we specialize in CNC laser repair and maintenance
Operator & Maintenance Training: Better Parts. More Beam-On Time.
We just completed hands-on training for more than 20 operators across three shifts at a shop running over 15 TRUMPF lasers.
The goal was to help every shift produce quality parts across different material types and keep the machines cutting. We covered cutting conditions, technology tables, nozzle centering, focus combs, machine setup and cleanliness, and how to recognize and correct cut quality issues.
We also created faults for operators to trace using alarm information and AS-i gateway, PROFIBUS, and PROFINET diagnostics. They practiced resolving issues within their role and giving maintenance clear information when support was needed.
Operators have an important role in preventive maintenance. When everyone follows the same checks, keeps the machine clean, and spots issues early, the team can protect cut quality and gain more beam-on time.
One laser or 15? One operator or three shifts? Laser Service Solution can help your team work more independently, create quality parts, and keep production moving.
Contact us to bring on-site CNC laser operator and maintenance training to your shop.

TRUMPF & Cutlite Penta: Two Different Paths in the Laser Industry
The Cutlite Penta acquisition is an interesting move to watch in the laser industry.
Cutlite Penta has built some impressive high-power laser technology and established a strong position in the market.
It also highlights something we sometimes overlook: the machine itself is only part of the equation. Long-term service, engineering, parts support, infrastructure and financial strength are just as important.
TRUMPF is a great example of what decades of that infrastructure can build.
With new backing behind Cutlite Penta, it will be interesting to see what the next chapter looks like.

Another Successful Trumpf TruLaser 5040 L57 Fiber installed through the Laser Service Solution Production Ready Rebuild Program.
We sourced it, decommissioned it, rebuilt the critical wear components, restored factory level accuracy, and delivered it production ready.
This was a true mechanical and technical rebuild! Not a cosmetic refresh. 📐
A properly maintained 10 year old Trumpf fiber laser can outperform many modern machines while sharing much of the same proven technology used today.
Before buying a cheap new laser, consider a proven Trumpf rebuilt properly.
Proven machine. Rebuilt right. Ready to run.

Another successful installation completed.
The Messer 10kW delivers incredible cutting speeds and impressive technology. From setup to production, this machine is built to perform. Looking forward to supporting this customer for years to come.
1030 TRUMPF L46 Focus Lens Replacement
Found During Preventative Maintenance
This is exactly why we do preventative maintenance.
This wasn’t a scheduled lens replacement. The machine was still running, but the customer was noticing slight inconsistencies only after multiple sheets nothing obvious enough to raise a red flag.
During our checks, we picked up irregularities in the spot image, which led us to pull the head. That’s where we found hazing on the focus lens caused by a burnt lower protection window.
A small issue on the surface but one that builds with heat, affects cut quality, and eventually turns into real downtime if it’s missed.
We caught it early, corrected it, and kept the machine cutting the way it should.
Most problems don’t announce themselves they show up in the details.

2010 Trumpf L20 CO₂ — Installed by LSS.
“Old tech”? Not quite.
Everyone says CO₂ is dead.
Reality: late-model CO₂s (2010+) still carry a lot of the same core motion and control tech you see in newer fiber systems.
We sourced this L20 from auction for under $10K, installed it, and got another customer into laser cutting without the heavy upfront investment.
Here’s what we see consistently:
• Start with a smaller CO₂
• Build work, cash flow, and confidence
• Upgrade to high-powered fiber within 1–2 years
It’s not theory it’s a proven path we’ve seen across our customer base.
If you’re trying to get into laser cutting, you don’t need to start big you need to start smart.
Call us. We’ll get you cutting.
Mazak MkII CO2 Laser Preventative Maintenance Complete
Keeping this customer running with a late-model CO2 that still delivers where it matters production.
A lot of people write off CO2, but the reality is:
late CO2 machines are still strong investments and continue to cut efficiently every day when maintained properly.
This is where it matters:
preventative maintenance done right isn’t just cleaning, it’s identifying wear before failure and keeping machines in cycle.
With the right support and skilled laser engineers behind it, these systems stay productive and reliable.
That’s exactly what we do at Laser Service Solution.
