Qigong For Health & Happiness

Qigong For Health & Happiness

Share

Qigong is a form of moving meditation. It revitalizes your life force leaving you well & happy . CFQ is the abbreviation of Chaoyi Fanhuan Qigong in Chinese.

The roots of qigong and meditation extend back thousands of years in Chinese history. The term qigong consists of two parts. Qi refers to bioenergy or the life force that flows through and around the body. The term gong indicates cultivation or training that develops a healthy flow of qi through the body. To generate a healthy flow of qi is to release blockages in the body's energetic system and to remove sources of disease and discomfort.

There is a lovely idea in the Celtic tradition that if you send out goodness from yourself, or if you share that which is happy or good within you, it will all come back to you multiplied ten thousand times. In the kingdom of love there is no competition, there is no possessiveness or control. The more love you give away, the more love you will have.

For those of you practicing Qigong with me . Here is some info about the Horse Stance Posture. Some of you may call
It Song Quai ( spell correct)
The Horse Stance in Qigong is crucial for building a strong foundation, developing lower body strength, stability, and endurance, while simultaneously enhancing mental discipline, focus, and internal energy flow by grounding the body and opening energy channels in the hips and legs. Its benefits include improved posture, balance, joint mobility, stronger core and pelvic floor, and a calm, yet energized state, serving as a powerful isometric meditation.
Importance
Foundation: It's a fundamental stance in Qigong and martial arts, creating a solid base for all movements.
Energy Cultivation: It helps clear blockages and circulate Qi (energy) through the lower body, charging the body's battery.
Mental Training: Holding the stance requires intense concentration, building mental resilience, discipline, and patience, a key aspect of Qigong.
Benefits
Physical Strength: Strengthens legs, glutes, hips, core, and pelvic floor.
Stability & Balance: Improves overall balance and ability to stay grounded.
Flexibility: Gradually increases range of motion in hips, knees, and ankles.
Posture & Alignment: Corrects posture and improves body alignment, reducing back pain.
Energy & Vitality: Promotes a feeling of being both relaxed and energized.
Internal Focus: Develops internal awareness and power transfer from legs to torso.
How it works (Simplified)
Isometric Contraction: Muscles work isometrically (without movement) to hold the squat, building strength and endurance.
Energy Flow: Dropping the tailbone and relaxing the body helps sink energy down, while opening the hips releases tension, allowing Qi to flow freely.
Mind-Body Connection: The stillness forces focus, connecting the physical effort with mental intention.
By gradually increasing hold times, practitioners can unlock deeper physical and energetic benefits, making it a cornerstone for improving both physical and mental well-being.
