It’s crazy to think where I started my lashing journey. I wish I could say it came naturally, but I left my first course feeling completely lost. I struggled with retention, I was slow, and at just 20 years old, I had very little confidence in myself. But I had a dream, and I kept showing up.

I still remember how proud I was of the little milestones. Getting my business license, making my first $30, getting my first logo, and being hired by my first salon. Every step meant something because I was figuring it all out on my own, through trial and error, anxiety, and a whole lot of self-doubt.

I’ve poured so much of myself into this business over the years. Through personal and health challenges, COVID, unexpected changes, and starting over in new life spaces, I kept going. Somewhere along the way, my clients became familiar faces, then friends, and this little dream started becoming something bigger than I ever imagined. When Tia welcomed me into her space, it meant so much to have someone believe in me, just as I believed in what she was building. I’ve been lucky enough to call her spaces home ever since.

And now, over 10 years later, I’m still a little shocked to say that I’ve won TWO GOLD and ONE SILVER in the Nanaimo Community Votes awards! 🥹🏆

I know how much work I’ve put into getting here, but that doesn’t make this recognition any less surreal. To the clients who have supported me from the beginning, those who have trusted me with their lashes or brows even once, and everyone who took the time to vote, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You’ve helped make a teenage girl’s dream into something real, and I’ll never take that for granted 🤍
