Lashes don’t have to be too dramatic or too natural, they can be just enough oomph to be NOTICEABLE ✨My obsession is lashes ✨ I love applying them, I love wearing them, I love looking at them, I love thinking about them. I basically love them so so so much! 😅 but for real that’s why having lash friends is so important so we don’t bore our family and friends with non stop lash talk!

My obsession with lashes began as a teenager when I put my first pair of strip lashes on and realized oh wow lashes really are life and you can’t convince me otherwise.

The sweetest little shorties set for the sweetest ❤️ Z said to me: “I’m headed to a wedding can you please give me my fave go to shorties set?” Me: 🥰 “Hold my tweezers while I grab the GLTR shorties tray.”

Lengths will always look different on everyone for different reasons such as brow height & in this case, the amount of layers and the height at which the upper layers sit.

The lengths used for this entire set were 5-9mm. At the end of the reel you’ll see the shape map. If you’ve been to one of my classes you’ll know that I always use multiple lengths throughout. Any shape can be any style and any style can be any shape. Sometimes we can hold onto something, somewhere or someone because we love the idea of it even when we no longer love the reality of it. I‘ve been struggling to accept the reality of GLTR not becoming what I wanted it to be and it’s no longer a reality that I cannot accept. I’ve tried with all my heart and soul but sadly, it’s not something I can sustain to keep open anymore. I’ll be forever grateful to each and every one of you who’s ever purchased, tagged and supported my dream of GLTR 🫶❤️ it’s opened friendships and connections that will always be something that I’ll value forever and won’t ever forget!

For anyone else is in a similar space where something they planned isn't working out here's what a good friend said to me recently that's helped me: "life is choice, change but also chance." So sometimes you can do all the right things and it just doesn't work out and that's okay. It's not a reflection or who you are or what you're capable of 🫶❤️

I’ll still be keeping GLTR for my own personal use and in my student kits but I will be doing a close out sale next week so stayed posted for that! And of course I had to do a fresh restock for all you GLTR lovers! I couldn’t leave you without your faves, so I did a fresh restock (just waiting on my boots tweezers to come in next week) so that anything that you want to restock up on and refresh your stock before it closes out fully.

Like your own lashes but better ✨ Using 2D .10 GLTR BOLD collection for lash look that mimics a few coats of mascara

She said to me: “Mel, can you make me look like a goth fairy princess?” And so I pulled out my BOLD .03’s and got to work trying and she loved them! She also doesn’t live close to me, she’s about 8 hours away from me so she follows her aftercare to a T and always has great retention because of this! A little back story, this is one of my very first client’s daughter! I met them 13 years ago when her mom bought her other daughter a lash set with me for her sweet 16th birthday, and then the mom became my lash client and the so did her other daughters! The daughters also became my babysitters! So even though we’ve all now moved to different places now, whenever I get a chance to see any of them, it makes my heart so happy! One of the best parts of lashing is the connections we get to create with our clients who when we lash long enough become almost like friends and family ❤️

Starting out with a consultation is always a must for me before a new set. I always start out with a full face picture to determine which shape will work best and then these are my fave follow up questions to ask during a consultation:
-do you curl your lashes?
-do you use mascara? If so, how many coats
-do you wear eyeliner?

If you struggle with knowing what to put on a client, these 3 questions will help you narrow down your options! If they curl their lashes this will help me determine the curl to use. If they wear mascara this tells me what diameter and how thick. If they wear eyeliner, it tells me what the lash line thickness needs to be.
