As a mother I’ve always felt an innate desire to nurture and guide yet have failed at times. As a daughter I’ve strived to make my family proud and haven’t always succeeded. And as a partner I’ve yearned to be a rock for my loved one but have also needed a rock - but as a Nana, I’m filled with hope and to inspire my grandchildren to reach for the stars and unlock their full potential, and in doing so, I’ll become the best version of myself.

You know, being a woman in today’s world comes with its unique set of challenges and responsibilities. Societal pressures and expectations can be overwhelming at times, but I believe it’s essential to remember that we’re all human beings who deserve compassion, understanding, and grace as we navigate life’s journey. So this Mother’s Day, I invite you to practice self-love and self-care, take a moment to nurture your inner child, celebrate your strengths, and forgive yourself for any perceived shortcomings. I visited Stonewater Spa for the 90-minute facial package (OxyGeneo, RF, ESA, and Ultrasound); the results were immediate and impressive.

My skin had a significant glow following the facial, and my fine lines were considerably diminished. The OxyGeneo treatment was a unique sensation—it felt like a “mini pressure washer” for my face in the best way possible.

My aesthetician, Shannon, was very professional - with a gentle, calming energy that is perfect for a spa environment. I was happy with the products she applied; they had a natural scent, not synthetic. I was also impressed by the Laboratoire Dr Renaud products she recommended after the treatment. As someone who checks ingredients, I was happy to find they rate very clean on the EWG Skin Deep database.

This is the perfect “pre-event” treatment as the results actually last for weeks. Friendly reception and a clean, fresh atmosphere. Highly recommend!

With all the news in the world today and how it is affecting our mental well-being, I encourage you to focus on what you can control, instead of being eaten up by what is feeling disparaging, unjust, and horrific. I’m not saying turn a blind eye or shut out what is happening, but know you have more power than you realize. Know that how you react to situations is within your power.

Kindness is not a weakness. So many people think it’s weak, yet it is extremely powerful. Truly kind people are self-regulated, confident in who they are, self-aware and compassionate. To bring more of this into the world will, in fact, breed more content. Our innate state of being is joy. It is up to us as individuals to uncover that state of being - yes, even in these challenging times. - My soapbox rant for today. — Don’t let them steal your joy or dim your light. Feel the feels, and go hug someone you love hard today.

The weight of the world’s issues woke me up at 4:00 am, and I’m learning to shift my focus from fear to love, embracing gratitude and joy. As I navigate life’s challenges, I’m reminded that true wealth lies in the beauty of relationships, family, grandchildren, meaningful friendships, kindness, and small miracles. 🌷
