Happy Canada Day. 🇨🇦
Today I’m feeling grateful for the Canada my family came to in 1989.
For the country that gave us freedom. For the healthcare that helped keep my dad alive for much longer than he was ever promised. For the opportunities my parents were given to build, work, grow, and be rewarded with things that once felt so far beyond reach in the world we came from.
So much has changed over the years, but when I put my feet in the grass, I still feel the landscape, the roots, and the quiet privilege of getting to call this place home.
And with that gratitude, I also hold deep respect for the land we live on, and for the Indigenous peoples who have loved and cared for this land long before it was ever called Canada.
Today, I’m choosing gratitude, reflection, love, and peace.
