GUMMY SMILE — TWO DIFFERENT APPROACHES 💉✨

A gummy smile can have different contributing factors, which means treatment should not look the same for everyone.

Neuromodulator treatment may be considered to temporarily reduce excessive gum show by targeting specific muscles involved in upper-lip movement.

Depending on your individual anatomy and assessment, treatment may focus on:

✨ Lip elevator muscles — to reduce excessive upward movement of the upper lip when smiling.

✨ Orbicularis oris — in selected cases, treatment may help reduce inward rolling of the upper lip, allowing more of the lip to remain visible when smiling.

The appropriate injection sites, product, dosing, and treatment plan are determined individually following an assessment. Results vary between clients and are temporary.

Dynamic lines appear with facial movement — such as smiling, frowning or raising your eyebrows — and may soften when the face is relaxed.

Static lines remain visible when the face is at rest. Over time, repeated facial movement, along with natural changes in the skin, can contribute to dynamic lines becoming visible at rest.

Understanding the difference is an important part of assessing the face and creating an individualized treatment plan. 🤍
