My job is to take all of that and turn it into something that works not only as an image, but as a tattoo that belongs to your body.

Composition, scale, placement, flow, longevity — this is where my artistic vision and technical experience come together.

Pacific Loon — The Way Home

There is something beautiful about a bird that belongs to two completely different worlds.

Pacific Loons spend much of their lives on the ocean, but when the season changes, they travel north to quiet freshwater lakes to breed.

Every year, they make this journey between places that look and feel nothing alike — and yet both are part of their life.

I kept thinking about that idea.

About leaving one place and building a life somewhere else.
About how, after enough time, the word home becomes more complicated.

Sometimes home is the place where you came from.

Sometimes it is the place where you are becoming who you are now.

And sometimes it is both.

Maybe belonging isn’t about choosing one place and leaving the other behind.

Maybe we can carry different landscapes, memories, languages, and versions of ourselves at the same time — without any of them becoming less real.

The Pacific Loon felt like the perfect bird for that thought.

A bird that crosses enormous distances, moving between two worlds without losing its connection to either.

Maybe home isn’t always a point on a map.

Maybe it is something we learn to carry within us.

Wherever the journey takes you, carry home with you.
