🤰🏽Seeking Pregnant Models for our RMT Training Course!

We're looking for folks who are at least 14 weeks pregnant or showing a visible bump to participate as models or "practice bodies" in an upcoming Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) continuing education course that is being offered on October 4th in Vancouver and October 18th and 19th in Surrey (Cloverdale), BC.

This course is designed for RMTs and other manual therapists to learn and practice safe, effective techniques for working with pregnant clients. As a model or "practice body", you'll receive a free 60-minute guided, professional massage under the supervision of an experienced instructor

✔️Requirements:
- Must be 14+ weeks pregnant by the course dates OR already showing a visible bump
- Must be comfortable being on a massage table in a group classroom setting
- Available for the dates and times shown in the above slides

Here is what you can expect to cover during this online/in-person hybrid format course:

: Language & patient communication
: “Conditions”/indications, precautions & CI’s
: What to expect by trimester
: Patient positioning, pillowing & patient comfort
: Fertility treatments, perinatal loss & genetic testing basics
: Home vs. hospital birth, doulas, “the fourth trimester”
: Abdominal massage — theory & debunking fears, treatment

Patient treatments are incorporated on the 3rd day of the course in order to build on and better integrate learnings. This is an opportunity to build on your baseline of prenatal care from the first trimester to the final days of pregnancy.

Took down my shingle for the very last time today at my home-based practice in Coquitlam.

Nearly 10 years of providing treatments to both long-time clients and new, I’ve had the privilege of treating countless lovely souls, and hopefully providing them care and solace, from a beautifully quiet space which, if you’ve been you know also holds special significance to me and is going through its own transition currently, at the same time my new business location is launching and will soon truly spread its own wings. (How’s that for a run on sentence?)🙃

You can’t write this stuff. I think it’s probably all written in the stars. ✨

So much gratitude for my past. So much love. And I know a lot of you loved coming here. Bittersweet ending, new doors opening 🙏🏻
