Emerald College is pleased to share CWRG Fully-funded Professional Barbering Fundamental Program -Skills Training launched by Emerald College, funding provided by the Government of Canada through the Canada‐British Columbia Workforce Development Agreement. It is a 425 Instruction Hours program, starts Sep 27, 2021, that prepares your students to be able to work safely and productively in salon or barbering shop or such environment. Students will find opportunities to work as: Barbering Professional , Barbering Assistant , Hair Cut Assistant , Sales Representative etc.

Seats are limited, first come, first serve, considering all the eligibility, admission and selection criteria

Eligibility:

Unemployed or Precariously Employed (casual, seasonal, part time)
Resident of BC
Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Person with authorization to work
Grade 12 or student 19 years of age or older . Student less than 19 year of age can be accepted with parental consent.
EI eligibility is not a requirement, however participants currently receiving regular Employment Insurance (EI) benefits, and those on Income Assistance (IA), are eligible to participate in a CWRG-funded training project. Section 25 for EI Active clients will be taken care of by the project.

Modern Barbering Skills
Foundational Cuts
Taper /Fades and other skills for hair cut
Beard designs and safety tips
Scalp and Hair Care and hair product Knowledge
