Growing up, they really had us convinced that Stop, Drop & Roll was going to be an essential life skill.

Turns out, I have never once needed it.

Funny how the emergency preparedness changes as we get older. 😂

This one deserves a good story - because 23 inches!! 😳✂️

For just over four years, this guest has been growing her hair with a purpose. Every four years or so, she does the big chop and donates it to help make wigs for cancer patients. ❤️

This round was a little different, though. There was one very important event that had to happen first: her wedding. 💍 The weekend before this appointment, we took allllll of this hair and put it into a gorgeous bridal updo for her big day.

Then she came back and said goodbye to it. 23 inches of hair donated. Four beautiful ponytails headed off to become part of something pretty incredible.

And can we talk about the transformation?! From waist-length hair to this soft, bouncy bob, and somehow it looks like it was always meant to be this way.

Four years of growing. One wedding. 23 inches donated. And a whole lot of hair hitting the floor. ✂️❤️

Pretty damn cool when a haircut can mean this much.

This was one heck of a transformation. 😮‍💨

Colour corrections are some of the most challenging work we do as stylists. There’s no one-size-fits-all formula, you’re working with everything that’s already happened to the hair, figuring out what needs to be corrected, what needs to be protected, and how to get from here to there without compromising the integrity of the hair.

This one had a little bit of everything going on: dark regrowth, multiple bands of colour, warmth, uneven tones and previously lightened ends. The goal wasn’t just to make it “blonde” again… it was to blend, balance and create a softer, more intentional colour from roots to ends.

And that after. 🤌 A dimensional, warm blonde that looks blended and healthy.

Colour correction is equal parts chemistry, patience and trusting the process - and transformations like this are why we love doing them. ✨

Vicki wanted to brighten her up without losing the dimension that makes a blonde look soft and natural. Lots of careful blending, strategic brightness and enough depth to keep everything looking effortless, including the grow-out.
