Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): 3rd Period Apprentice; Hairstyling Red Seal Certificate; Barber License; Hairstylist License
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Apprentices are welcome
Additional Skills: Shampoo customers' hair; Perform receptionist duties; Maintain and order supplies
Work Setting: Barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment; Repetitive tasks; Attention to detail; Hand-eye co-ordination; Standing for extended periods
Hairstylist Specific Skills: Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair; Analyze hair and scalp condition and provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair
