Can I be vulnerable with you for a second? I’m posting these before I lose the nerve.

It’s been YEARS since I’ve taken the time to get new photos done of myself. A lot has changed in 6 years. I’ve changed.

I haven’t felt comfortable in photos for YEARS. If I’m being honest, a photo taken and posted of me usually ends up in tears. Or…. sometimes a full on crash out 🙈 (not proud of that).

I’m focused on being kinder to myself. Because I love who I am, I love that I’ve changed. And I’m proud of who I’ve become.

It’s been over a month since I returned from Arizona and I’m finally ready to share what I’ve been up to lately.

At the beginning of May and I travelled to Gilbert, Arizona to take a very important class that we’ve been keeping secret since last November.

At this class we learned how to create and safely install custom density bonds for all hair types. Personally, I focused heavily on matching density for fine hair- because the majority of my clients who seek extensions currently, have fine hair.

Since we returned we’ve been taking MORE education, sourcing the proper tools needed and practicing.

I have learned A LOT over the last few months. And will continue to over the coming months/years.

I am going to be starting to bring this new service to my clientele slowly and intentionally. We’ll begin by installing a few density matched bonds around the face & hairline- intentionally filling in finer areas and/or switching over nano clients who are interested in trying k-tips.

As always, I’m thrilled to continue to grow and learn the best of the best techniques for my clients.

Back home and already reminiscing about another incredible Experience K ✨

Education has always been a huge part of who we are at Salon Society, and this week was such a great reminder of why.

Of course, there was so much inspiration to take in from the Kérastase team—the innovation, the passion, the ideas, and the constant focus on elevating the guest experience. But some of my favourite moments happened in between.

Morning yoga on the beach. Long afternoons by the pool. Margaritas in hand while chatting about ideas, dreaming up what’s next, and talking about how we can continue creating an even better experience for our guests and team.

There was plenty of learning, but there was also time to slow down, connect, recharge, and simply enjoy being together. Those moments are just as valuable.

I always come home from Experience K feeling inspired, grateful, and excited for what’s ahead. Thank you to the team for another unforgettable week filled with education, connection, laughter, and a little bit of 🌞
