I had a great time at the Pihtikwe Market x Awasisak Mamawipayon Fashion Show!

The market and show was incredibly well done and the entertainment from the DJ and artists were amazing💖

The supper for the night was delicious and all the amazing designers and models did great out there this evening. One of the youngest models of the event can’t have been older than 5 years old, and he killed his first walk!
I also wanted to shout out The Foundation for Justice Saskatoon for their awesome 360 Photo Booth, things like this help them fund their continuous outreach work within the city, which is especially valuable with recent events in Saskatoon.

The event was to raise awareness and uplift our Indigenous youth in the foster care systems, an incredibly prevalent concern in our circles. And this isn’t something I mention a lot but I also grew up within this system and I’m proud to see our people overcoming their hardships and continuing to break these cycles. So many of our young people are incredibly proud, smart and talented and have lived through hardships before their 18th birthday, I am grateful to have been apart of such a meaningful event for our community and inspired from our young people’s dedication and confidence to shine in this world.

Thank you to Tenielle and Crystal for your support and trust, you two killed this event! I wish you both the best in your next ventures!
