🏈 I'm a HUGE sports fan! Whether it's watching my beloved Saskatchewan Roughriders, cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays, or sitting in the stands watching my nieces and nephews play, I'm happiest when there's a game on and people to cheer for!

🌸 I have a bit of an obsession with flowers and plants. If it blooms or grows, chances are I want one... or twenty! 🌿

🏕 Camping is one of my favourite ways to recharge. There's just something about campfires, fresh air, and slowing life down that fills my cup.

💕 And above all, I treasure time with family and friends. Whether it's sharing a meal, laughing around the fire, or making memories together, those are the moments that matter most.

Am I right, or am I right?!? 😄

Lately, I've been trying to slow things down in the quiet moments and really take it all in. I'm practicing gratitude and making a conscious effort to look for what's good instead of focusing on what's hard.

This morning on my bike ride, I challenged myself to simply *notice* rather than let my mind race ahead to everything waiting for me at home.

And you know what happened?

First, I spotted a handsome man I happen to admire— my dad — out for his daily walk along the path. 🩷 How blessed am I that I live just minutes away and can enjoy an extra visit like the one we shared on this beautiful summer morning?

I caught the scent of blossoms from a tree or plant nearby, and instantly I was transported back to the mighty apple tree we had at our first home.

I noticed the warmth of the sun on my skin, along with the humidity that isn't usually part of a Saskatchewan July. I noticed the brilliant blue sky reflected perfectly in the pond. I heard birds singing—several different kinds, sounding as though they were carrying on conversations with one another. And I definitely noticed the rush of adrenaline when a ground squirrel nearly darted right under my bike tire! 😳🐿️

We are surrounded by beauty, by peace, and by so many things that delight our senses. Far too often, I'm simply too busy to notice them.

But I think there's something powerful about paying attention to what seem like the small things. Maybe they're not so small after all. And what’s better, a break like that helps things feel easier and manageable once I got home!

Today, I'm grateful for every one of them. 💕
