Hi everyone!

The year is almost over so if you haven't used your massage benefits yet book in so I can help you!

Im a registered Massage therapist of 13 years, trained in many different approaches. I assess everyone to try to find what will be the most helpful for each individual. I've been doing Fascia based Therapy for 12 years now. I also work on the Muscles, Lymph, Visceral and the Nervous system.

Im always learning new things, so my treatments are different then regular massage therapists.

I prefer not to talk while I treat because it affects my therapeutic presence, but I to meet the client where they're at, if they want to talk, I'm here to listen, talk or explain 😊.

I offer direct billing to most insurance companies, including Saskatchewan Blue Cross, Greenshield,
Sunlife, Canada life, and Manulife.

Deep tissue is a popular term in Massage Therapy.
But...
Have you heard of Visceral Manipulation?

"Visceral Manipulation is a manual therapy consisting of gentle, specifically placed manual forces that encourage normal mobility, tone and inherent tissue motion of the viscera, their connective tissue, and the areas of the body where physiological motion has been impaired."

When I do visceral manipulation in my treatments i use my hand to listen. Which is an anatomy-based evaluation technique whereby the hand is attracted to areas of dysfunction.
This allows me to communicate with the body I am working with, to maximize the efficiency of our treatment time.

When I release visceral restrictions, im working through the outer layer to get to the elastic component in the core /or the fluid environment within the body. Increasing the slide and glide of the connective tissues so they can function optionally. Which allows the body to self correct.

I used to do mostly Deep Tissue and it has its place. (This is why pre- treatment evaluation is so important.) Now I do a lot of Visceral Manipulation. It's more safe and effective because of the precision instead of force.
Deep neurovascular spasms can be released which greatly benefits our musculoskeletal system.

My training is from the Barral institute. Check out there website for more information.

E16: Hip Massage - Sacrotuberous Ligament 07/04/2024

This is a great way to release the sacrotuberus ligament and widen the sits bones. Great for a tense pelvic floor.

Try sitting on a ball, like your hatching a egg, the ball in the medial part of that big sits bone. Do both sides separatly, the muscles arent in the middle they are off on the side but still on the medial aspect of the sits bones. Also don't compress any bones or nerves, find the muscle between.

Pictures of Craniosacral therapy.

This treatment works with the central nervous system to support, nourish and increase cerebral spinal fluid. lt also works on the diaphragms in the body, and I've found it helpful in preping the organs for treatment as well. Craniosacral is very grounding and relaxing. I've been getting great reviews and results from these techniques so far!

This is the newest edition to the services I offer, and I feel like it's been a missing link. I'm excited to continue training in this field.

This is what a visceral manipulation treatment would look like.

In visceral, I listen to the movements of the organs, this helps them to restore movement and function. The organs can have a huge influence on the musculoskeletal system, and it's been very helpful in trying to diagnose causes of dysfunction in my clients.

I often add visceral into my therapeutic massages if it's called for.

Pictures of a structural integration treatment.

This treatment is similar to deep tissue massage, except no lotion is required. I will alter many things in this session depending on what the client presents with. Lotion is generally used on the legs and anywhere the tissue might be to dry or sticky.

The assessment involves a postural analysis and some range of motion testing.
