Swimming Season is about 1 month in, and this girl of mine has already overcome so many fears of the water. 1 month ago she would NOT put her face in the water or do anything that would involve splashing. 1 month ago she was only able to swim independently for 2 feet.
Last week she overcame her fear of just putting her face in the water (thanks bathtub!), and added an extra foot to her independent swimming.. Then her BFF came over and she was jumping into the pool like it was nothing- it was just the boost of confidence my Lex needed!
They spent over 2 hours that day jumping in the pool and going down the slide like maniacs!!! She had such a blast. I can't wait to see what else she accomplishes in the pool this summer as a 7 year old!
