Glitz Spray Tanning is looking for a Casual Spray Tan Artist & Studio Assistant to join our team!

This position is casual during the winter and 15–20 hours per week from March–September. You'll need to be available for at least one evening a week until 9 PM, some daytime shifts, and the odd Saturday during the winter but never weekends in the summer! ☀️

Beauty industry experience is preferred but not required. We'll train the right person but there is a lot to know from skin anatomy, custom mixing, l the best spray tanning technique and more . This is a great fit for someone who has another flexible job. We're looking for someone who's reliable, loves people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, is excited to learn our other services... and most importantly, is fun and a little crazy like the rest of us! 😂

✨When I started almost 15 years ago, most of us taught ourselves through trial and error. Training was extremely limited.

✨ We were honestly scared sh*tless to mix solutions because there were no guides explaining undertones or how to customize colour. You just… figured it out.

✨No one cared what your socials looked like.
They cared about what the tan looked like.
There was no big branding budget, no aesthetic feeds, no marketing strategy. Growth was word of mouth and maybe the odd Facebook post.

✨Clients were always terrified of turning orange. The industry was only just evolving.

✨Getting spray tans "just because" wasn't really a thing.

✨Private labeling solution wasn’t everywhere like it is now. Today there are many lines that are essentially the same formulas with different labels & we didn’t really see that back then.

✨Rapid tans? Most of them were terrible.
They lasted 1–3 days, so many of us avoided them completely.

✨Vitamin E, green tea extract, hyaluronic acid, skin conditioners were basically non-existent.

The industry has come a long way.
But those early years? They made Glitz the unique place we still are !
