Save this for a beautiful October. 🍂
October has arrived, and with it comes that lovely invitation to turn inward—to warm kitchens, simmering kettles, candlelit afternoons and recipes that taste like the season.
But traditions don’t have to be extravagant.
Sometimes they are simply the things we choose to do again and again until one day our children say, “We always did this in October.” 🤎
So this month, bake the pumpkin pie. Let little hands cut the pastry leaves. Put the kettle on in the middle of the afternoon. Gather autumn treasures on your walks. Light the candles early. Set the table beautifully—even when there is no occasion at all.
Because perhaps this is the occasion.
These ordinary October days.
And this is the heart behind Bakerlita Bloomery: baking, tea & traditions that nourish the home one beautiful season at a time.
Inside the Bakerlita Bloomery Academy & Tea Room, you’ll find my collection of nourishing seasonal recipes and beautiful rituals for creating a home your family will remember.
All created with our Bloomery philosophy of baking beautifully without gluten, grains or refined sugar. 🌹
Save this little October list for later—and tell me below: which October tradition are you beginning first? 🍂

🤎I have been sitting with Proverbs 31:26 and thinking about just how much this asks of us as mothers.
Especially in these years with little ones, when motherhood can mean being needed from the moment our eyes open.
We dress them, feed them, clean their messes, answer endless questions, comfort tears, teach, correct, guide and shepherd little hearts—all while trying to respond with patience, wisdom and kindness.
And yet I am increasingly convinced that we cannot give our children what we have not first received from Christ.
Scripture tells us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. And Jesus tells us that a branch cannot bear fruit by itself—it must abide in the vine.
Perhaps that is one of the quiet lessons hidden within motherhood.
Our children are utterly dependent upon us—and we are utterly dependent upon Him.
If I continually pour from an empty soul, eventually my own impatience, frustration and flesh will overflow. But when I return again and again to His Word, His presence and His Spirit, I am reminded that I was never meant to manufacture godly motherhood from my own strength.
I am meant to abide.
To be filled before I pour.
To receive wisdom before I teach.
To receive grace before I extend it.
To sit at the feet of Christ so that when I open my mouth, what spills into my home increasingly resembles Him.
Our children do not need mothers who never grow weary.
They need mothers who know where to go when they do.
May our children see us reaching for Christ with the same dependence with which their little hands reach for us. 🤎

🍂Pinch me… I just sent off the very first sample of my cookbook to be printed. 🥹🤎
After so many months of dreaming, baking, photographing, writing, testing, and quietly bringing each page to life, Elegant Bakes is becoming something I will soon be able to hold in my hands.
And this feels like the sweetest bake to celebrate with.
My Apple Butter Bundt Coffee Cake—a tender, warmly spiced autumn cake enriched with homemade apple butter and a delicate apple butter ribbon, finished with a silky vanilla-spiced glaze and golden toasted pecan streusel. 🍎🍂
It is everything I love about this season in one beautiful bake: apples simmering on the stove, cinnamon and vanilla in the air, a warm cake waiting beside a pot of tea, and those golden afternoons that make us want to linger at home just a little longer.
And this particular cake will have a home within the pages of my cookbook. 🤎
Swipe left for a little peek inside…
I’m sharing a glimpse of the recipe layout and the beautiful world we have been creating for each bake.
I want this book to feel like so much more than a collection of recipes. I want opening it to feel like sitting down with a beautiful old book, a freshly poured cup of tea, and an invitation to make something lovely for the people you love.
And now… the first physical sample is officially on its way. 🥹
I cannot wait to share the moment it arrives—the linen cover, antique gold details, photography, paper, and all those little decisions so carefully made finally coming together.

A little dream I’ve been waiting to share… 🍂☕️
I have been waiting for the first week of autumn to finally share this with you…
I am so incredibly honoured and grateful to be joining TeaTime Magazine as a new contributor. 🤎
To see my work among the pages of America’s beloved tea magazine feels almost surreal—a quiet little dream come true and a privilege I do not take lightly.
And I couldn’t imagine a sweeter season to begin.
Inside TeaTime Magazine TeaTime’s freshly redesigned & expanded Autumn issue, I am sharing my Chai’s Warm Embrace Cashew Silk Tart—a beautifully spiced, silky autumn tart that is 100% vegan, refined sugar-free, gluten-free & grain-free, created to nourish the body while still bringing beauty and elegance to the tea table.
But perhaps what makes this opportunity so dear to my heart is everything that tea time represents to me.
Tea time has become one of the sweetest rhythms I share with my daughters. It is our invitation to slow down, gather around the table, pour a cup, and return—if only for a little while—to the old-world charm of conversation, hospitality and connection.
I want my girls to grow up knowing the beauty of the tea table. To remember that we made time for one another. That we lingered. That we talked. That amidst the busyness of life, there was always room to put the kettle on and gather close.
One cup of tea at a time, we are cultivating traditions that I hope will someday become their own. ♡
To now share my love of wholesome baking and the art of tea within the pages of TeaTime Magazine truly feels like such a beautiful meeting of worlds.
Thank you, TeaTime, for welcoming me so warmly into your pages. I am deeply grateful for this beautiful opportunity—and I simply cannot wait to share more of this chapter with all of you.
Here’s to autumn, full teacups & traditions worth passing down. 🍂☕️
Chai season has arrived… and with it, one of my favourite autumn bakes. 🍂☕️
A little glimpse behind the scenes of my Chai Silk Cashew Tart — delicately infused with vanilla chai and blended into the dreamiest, silkiest cashew cream.
This beautiful tart was created for my autumn collaboration with TeaTime Magazine, and I’ve been so excited to finally share a little peek with you. ♡
And there’s something especially lovely coming next…
This Monday, we’re celebrating with a beautiful TeaTime giveaway! 🫖✨
Consider this your little invitation to come back Monday — I cannot wait to share all the details with you.
Until then, steep something lovely and savour the beginning of chai season. 🤎

🫖Perhaps one of the quietest ways we shape the future is simply by sitting down at the table with our children.
Tea time has become our gentle rebellion against hurry.
It is our way of saying that childhood is worthy of lingering over. That beauty has a place in ordinary life. That graciousness can be taught. That femininity can be cherished. That little hearts deserve our attention before the world begins asking for theirs.
When I pour tea for my daughters, I want to pour in so much more.
I want to teach them to love what is true, beautiful, and good. To know God’s Word and recognize His truth. To practice hospitality and graciousness. To discover and steward their God-given gifts. And perhaps most importantly, I want to live these things before them.
Because motherhood is so often discipleship through the ordinary.
The table we set.
The words we speak.
The way we welcome.
The prayers we pray.
The traditions we keep.
The time we willingly give.
We may never fully know what is being built in these seemingly small moments.
But one day, perhaps our daughters will pour tea for their own little girls and find themselves repeating something they first learned sitting beside us. 🌹
To sacrifice our time for what matters most may be one of the sweetest gifts we give the generations after us.
This is the heart behind Bakerlita Bloomery — cultivating a beautiful life through seasonal baking, tea, traditions, homemaking, and meaningful rhythms that bring us back to what matters most.
If your heart longs for this kind of life too, your seat awaits. ♡
What is one beautiful tradition from your childhood you hope to pass on — or one you are beginning with your own family?

Perhaps that is one of autumn’s sweetest invitations: to gather again.
Around a table. Beneath a golden tree. Over a warm cup of tea and something lovingly baked. To linger a little longer in conversation and remember that some of life’s richest moments are often its simplest ones.
As the evenings grow softer and the season begins to turn, I find myself especially drawn to the art of gracious living—the little details that make people feel welcomed, cherished, and at home.
I’ve been returning to Gracious Home by Melissa Lester and it feels like the loveliest companion for this season. Melissa’s beautiful eye for interiors, hospitality, and gracious living is such an inspiration to me. Every page is an invitation to cultivate a home with warmth, beauty, and a spirit of welcome. 🌹
Here’s to more cups of tea beneath golden trees, cakes shared around the table, beautiful books left open, and the happiness that comes simply from being together.
Tea-time question: What is one simple way you love to gather with others as autumn arrives? 🍂☕️
