A few weeks ago, Julianna took the oath known as “The Obligation” at her Iron Ring Ceremony. It was a somber and emotional event, where she pledged to uphold the highest standards of ethics and responsibility as she begins her career as an engineer.

In Canada, for over 100 years, engineers have participated in this meaningful tradition—a reminder of the responsibility they carry to society and the importance of integrity in their work. The iron ring is worn on the pinky finger of the dominant hand, serving as a daily reminder of this oath and the duty it represents. It is also worn in honour of those who lost their lives in the collapse of the Quebec Bridge in 1917 due to engineering failure.

Congratulations on this great achievement, Julianna. I am incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication you have put in over these last five years, and of the incredible woman you have become. This is just the beginning of what I know will be an amazing journey.

Today it is 28 years since I said ”I do” to this guy. What a smart decision it was. 28 years filled with travels, kids, work, ups & downs, everyday stuff and celebrations, music, laughter and so much love. ❤️❤️❤️

Today SWEA Toronto celebrated women on International Women’s Day.
We brought this idea from Sweden, where for the last few years, Interflora has been decorating female statues on International Women’s Day.
They do this to celebrate women and to highlight the inequality of female representation in the public arena. Only 10% of named statues in Sweden are of women.
When we started looking into this idea for Toronto, Canada we realized that it’s only about 1% women statues here and almost all of them are anonymous (not named or of a ”real” woman).
We did not let this deter us and chose to decorate this beautiful statue “Endless bench” by that sits outside Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto.
The Garden Club of Toronto helped us out with the beautiful design and the installation.

My sister’s grand-kids. Yup, you are right, there are four that are less than four months old. She has eleven + two bonus grandkids. I call that a RICH life. ❤️

Happy Canada Day from Lennon!

The other day this guy graduated from Western Universary with a degree of Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies specializing in Accounting (a BMOS degree).
How can a mother be more proud? I’m bursting with pride and excitement for J.J. and his bright future.
Now go catch those stars my son!
